The amalgamation of music and living space into a loft unit located in a 5-storey condominium in Quezon City materializes with the HAPONESA STUDIO. The client wished to pursue a clean, yet unique expression of his passion for music alongside his own propensity towards Japanese aesthetics for a residential unit for lease, which will also serve as a recording studio.

The fused space exhibits Japanese design sensibilities particularly; material purity, simplicity, and space optimization.The main materials used are wood for acoustic purpose, concrete for structural, and metal as accent. As a music studio, the whole unit is enwrapped by modular wooden triangulations that serve acoustical needs, filling the unit with integrative vibrations.

Each space connects with one another via open visual accessibility at all points, unifying as a home, yet where one can also flexibly and comfortably immerse in art and music, whether alone or sharing it with co-inhabitants of the space.
